나는 공원의 벤치에 앉아 내 핸드폰을 내려다보고 있었다. 몇 년 동안 보지 못한 오랜 친구에게 카톡을 할지 고민하고 있었다. 망설이며 화면만 만지작거리고 있었다. 그리고 결국 하기로 했다. 그녀에게 짧은 메시지를 보냈다.

I was looking down at my phone sitting on the bench in the park. I was considering whether to message my old friend I hadn't seen in years. I hesitated and just held my finger above the screen. Then finally I decided to go for it. I sent her a quick message.

나는 근시라서 안경을 쓴다. 최근에 시력이 나빠진 것 같아서 안과 가서 시력검사와 새로운 안경 처방을 받기로 했다. 검사를 마친 후, 불안한 마음으로 처방전을 기다렸다. 새로운 안경을 쓰게 되면 시력이 훨씬 좋아져서 깨끗하고 선명하게 보였다.

I'm near-sighted and wear glasses. Lately, it seemed like my vision was worse, so I decided to see an eye doctor for an eye test and a new glasses prescription. After the test, I anxiously waited for the prescription. Once I had my new glasses, my vision got a lot better becoming clear and sharp.

B: 아, 그 빨간 거? 사실은 마케팅 팀 Joe 것이야. 자기 자리에 가지고 있어.

A: Hey, have you seen the stapler? I can't find it anywhere.

B: Oh, that red one? It actually belongs to Joe from the marketing team. He currently has it at his desk.

A: Seriously? I need it for this report. I'll stop by his desk and ask him.

B: Yeah, do that. And while you're at it, can you grab some coffee for the team too? We’re running out of energy.

A: Sure thing.
