1.Script
Can we talk about theater etiquette real quick? Yeah, I hit the lottery of people you don't want to sit next to this week when I went to the theater. I went to see "Take Me Out"; it was fantastic, but I was directly in front of a lozenge sucker. They didn't even unwrap them in advance, so every 15 minutes, you got to hear the crinkle and then the sucking sound. Which was terrible. The dude in front of me was a head bobber, so I couldn't really even see where I was going to look on stage because I kept having to move. If their head goes left, your head goes right; their head goes right, your head goes left. And the guy right next to me, although he meant it in jest, but still, I didn't know him, was a shusher. Every time we were done laughing at something, he'd go "excuse me." You were doing what the actors wanted you to do; you were laughing at their comments, right? It was just so intense. I'm like, "Am I in a prank? How am I next to all three of these theater-goers at the same time?" Thankfully, it was a great show, but man, just be mindful of the etiquette. The pandemic whacked that out; some people have no home training.

3. My story
I once went to a musical and ended up directly in front of a notorious head bobber. Every time I tried to immerse myself in the performance, his constant movement broke my focus. It was like an unchoreographed dance; his head swayed left, I leaned right, and vice versa. It was a lesson in patience and a reminder to be mindful of the etiquette in theaters. While the show was great, the experience was definitely a mix of enjoyment and frustration!
