어젯밤에 냉장고에 피자 남은게 있었어요. 배가 고파서, 한 조각을 꺼내 차가운 채로 먹었습니다. 아쉽게도, 너무 딱딱하고 맛이 별로였습니다. 그래서 전자렌지에 피자를 넣고 재가열 했습니다. 나오니까, 김이나고 맛있어 보였습니다. 기분 좋게 한 입 먹었어요.

 

I had pizza leftovers in the fridge last night. Feeling hungry, I pulled a piece out and ate it cold. Unfortunately, it was too hard and didn’t taste great. So, I popped the pizza in the microwave to reheat it. When it came out, it was steaming hot and looked tasty. I took a bite feeling happy.

냉장고에 남아있던 재료로 한 끼 식사를 만들기로 결정했습니다. 요리가 다 됐을 때, 냄새가 끔찍했습니다. 알고 보니, 재료 중 하나가 상했던 것이었습니다. 그래서 요리 한 걸 다 버려야 했습니다. 냉장고를 주기적으로 확인해, 상한 재료를 사용하지 않도록 해야 한다는 것을 다시 한번 깨달었습니다.

 

I decided to cook a meal with some leftover ingredients in my fridge. When it was done, it smelled terrible. It turned out one of them had gone bad and turned toxic. So, I had to throw away the entire dish. It reminded me to check the fridge regularly to avoid using spoiled ingredients.

A: "회의용 프레젠테이션 끝냈어?

B: 아니, 막판까지 작업해야 할 것 같아.

A: 진짜? 이미 끝냈는줄 알았어.

B: 알아, 하지만 좀 복잡한 상황이 있었어. 내일 아침에 내 일 좀 도와줄 수 있어?

A: 당연하지. 근데, 매번 이러면 안된다.

B: 고마워, 신세졌다."

 

A: Did you finish the presentation for the meeting?

B: Nope, I'll have to work on it until the last minute.

A: Seriously? I thought you had already wrapped it up!

B: I know, but things got crazy. Can you cover for me in the morning?

A: Sure thing, but don't make a habit of this!

B: Thanks, I owe you one.
