1.Script
I used to be a product manager but now I'm a venture capitalist. This morning, I took the Muni to our San Francisco office. This summer, I'm working on early-stage investing, where I interact with founders and startups who are in the process of raising money for their pre-seed, seed, or Series A funding. I made a coffee just in time for my 8:30 a.m. meeting, where my colleagues and I discuss the deals and companies we're currently engaging with. After the meeting, I grabbed some breakfast and then had some focused work time. I paused to reflect on my activities this morning. My summer project involves researching and talking to founders who are building for the creator economy. Today, I talked to Thomas, the co-founder of CatchScan, whose startup helps creators protect their intellectual property and content from misuse. Then, I went downstairs to buy a carrot juice and turkey sandwich for lunch. My past experiences as a product manager and a creator help me evaluate whether a company is a good investment. This internship has made me realize how much I miss building products, and I'm excited to explore and build my own startup when I go to business school. After work, I went to a Barry's workout, and then I walked to the Bird for dinner. I'm really happy that I explored this new role over the summer. Thanks for watching, goodbye!
