한 번은 5 학년 때, 나는 학교에서 배탈이라고 꾀병을 부렸습니다. 그냥 학교에서 벗어나고 싶었습니다. 그 나이에 애들이 다 그렇잖아요. 담임 선생님이 나를 집으로 보내 줬습니다. 혼자 집에 있으면서 나머지 하루 동안 텔레비전을 보며 보냈습니다.

 

I once faked a tummy ache at school as a fifth grader. I just wanted to get out of school. That's what kids do at that age. My homeroom teacher let me go home. I was home alone and spent the rest of the day watching TV.

직장에서 스케줄에 문제가 있었습니다. 일정이 꼬여서 팀이 내내 곤란한 상화에 처했습니다. 어떤 사람들은 잘못된 장소로 결국 가고, 다른 사람들은 시간을 잘 못 알고 갔습니다.

 

There was something wrong with scheduling at work. The schedule mix-up got the team into trouble the whole time. Some ended up in the wrong place while others arrived at the wrong times.

A: 나는 우리 팀이 안전하다고 생각했어.

B: 그게 아닌 것 같아. 보너스에 대한 희망이 조금씩 희미해져가고 있어.

A: 이제 보너스 기대는 커녕, 직장을 잃을 걱정을 해야 할지도 모르겠어.

B: 맞아, 그런 일이 일어나지 않기를 바라자.

 

A: I thought our team was safe.

B: Well, it seems that's not the case. The hope of a bonus grew a little dimmer.

A: Now we might need to be worried about losing our jobs let alone expecting a bonus.

B: True, let's hope that doesn't happen.
