옆집 이웃이 개를 키웁니다. 그 개는 어제 한밤중에 크게 짖었습니다. 저는 그게 너무 심하다고 생각했습니다. 저는 가서 한마디하고 개를 조용히 시키라고 요청했습니다. 그녀는 개를 조용히 지킬 것을 약속했습니다. 하지만 그렇게 되지 않았습니다. 저는 그녀가 나와 장난하고 있는 것 같은 느낌을 받았습니다. 그게 아니기를 바랍니다.

 

My next-door neighbor has a dog. The dog barked loudly in the middle of the last night. I thought that was too much. I complained and asked her to calm her dog down. She promised to keep her dog quiet. But it didn’t happen. I got a feeling that she was messing with me. I hope not.

지난 주말에는 직장 동료 친구와 만나기로 했었습니다. 늦어서 만날 장소로 서둘러 갔습니다. 짜증나게도, 그녀가 나타나지 않았습니다. 그녀가 건망증이 있는 면을 알지만, 그건 좀 너무하다 싶었습니다. 결국 그녀는 깜빡한 건 아니고, 그냥 시간 가는 것을 완전히 잃었었다고 인정했습니다. 미안하다고도 했지만 솔직히, 아직 조금 화가 안 풀렸습니다.

 

Last weekend, I was supposed to meet up with a friend from work. I rushed to our meeting spot since I was running late. Annoyingly, she was a no-show. I know she's got a forgetful side, but that felt like a bit too much. Eventually, she admitted she hadn't actually forgotten, just totally lost track of time. She said sorry, but honestly, I'm still a bit annoyed about it.

A: 어젯밤에 보고서 다 끝냈어?

B: 네, 완전요. 벌써 부장남께 보내드렸어요.

A: 진짜야? 왜냐면 어제 일찍 퇴근하는 거 봤거든.

B: 아, 그거요? 그냥 집에서 처리해야 할 일이 좀 있었어요. 근데 보고서는 확실히 마무리 했어요.

A: 좋아, 끝내기만 했다면 뭐. 거짓말 아니길 바랄게.

B: 걱정 마세요. 부장님이 좋아하실 거에요. 느낌이 좋아요.

 

A: Did you finish that report last night?

B: Yeah, totally. Sent it over to the boss already.

A: Seriously? Because I saw you leave early yesterday.

B: Oh, that? I just had some stuff to take care of at home. But I definitely wrapped up the report.

A: Alright, as long as it's done. I hope you aren’t lying.

B: No worries. The boss will like it. I've got a good feeling about it.
