회사에서 거대한 자료보관실에서 파일을 하나 찾아야 했습니다. 나는 한 줄씩 확인했는데 너무 오래 걸렸어요. 갑자기 헤매고 있다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 같은 곳을 계속 돌고 돌았습니다. 몇 시간 동안 찾은 끝에, 마침내 그 파일을 발견했습니다.

 

At work, I had to find a file in the massive storage room. I checked the rows one by one, and it was taking way too long. Suddenly, I realized I was completely lost. I was going in circles. After hours of searching, I finally spotted the file.

동료들과 저녁을 먹은 후에, 1/N을 해야 했어요. 처음에는 암산으로 계산을 했습니다. 사람 수를 금액에 곱했어요. 전체수로 금액을 나누어야 했는데 말입니다. 결국 핸드폰 계산기를 사용했고, 각자가 10달러를 내야 하는 것으로 나왔습니다.

 

After having dinner with my coworkers, I needed to split the bill. I initially did the math in my head. I multiplied the price by the total number of people. I should’ve divided the bill by the total. I ended up using the calculator on my phone. It turned out each one owed $10.

A: 다른 지원자들은 정말 잘하더라. 조금 기죽었어.

B: 다른 사람들 스펙은 어땠어?

A: 내가 더 날게 없지 뭐.

B: 처음에는 다들 그런 느낌이야. 근데  누가 합격할지 아무도 몰라.

A: 그런거면 좋겠다.

 

A: How did the job interview go?

A: The other candidates were really impressive. I found them a bit intimidating.

B: What about their qualifications?

A: Mine wasn't any better than theirs.

B: Everyone feels that way initially. But you never know who they'll pick.

A: I hope so.
