친구들과 연락을 정말 엉망으로 유지했습니다. 카톡을 몰아서 답하는 것이 습관이 되었습니다. 당연히 그러다 보니 많은 친구들과 연락이 끊겼습니다. 그때가 바로 연락하는 방식을 바꾸기로 결심했던 때입니다. 이제는 가장 소중한 사람들과 관계를 유지하는데 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 누구든지 카톡하면 즉시 답장해요.

I've done a horrible job staying connected with friends. I got into the habit of responding to texts in batches. Naturally, I lost touch with many of them. That’s when I decided to change the way I keep in touch. Now, I'm doing my best to engage with the people I care about most. I reply immediately messages from any of them.

A: 오늘 하루 잘 보내고 있어?
B: 처음에는 내 의지와 상관없이 별로였어. 아침 회의가 좀 엉망이었어.
A: 이런, 무슨일이 있었는데?
B: 장비 문제 랑 의사소통문제가 있었어. 하지만 오후에는 나아지길 바라고 있어.
A: 힘내. 반전이 있을지도 모르지.
A: How's your day going?
B: It wasn’t going as well as I hoped early on. The morning meeting was a bit  messy.
A: Oh no, what happened?
B: Tech issues and miscommunication. But hoping it gets better in the afternoon.
A: Hang in there. Things might turn around.
