She did not eat or go to the bathroom. I would just sit out in the backyard with her for a few hours while she was decompressing. Maggie would lay outside of Ella's crate all day. "Isn't your mother?" she's like, wait. There was one time that I opened the crate and she kind of came out and put her face right up in my face, and that was a big deal. Because all the times before she had gone straight to hiding. I introduced our dogs to her. I don't know that Ella was recognizing that. It was her puppy, but she was excited that there were dogs that she could be with now. I think that once she was able to be with us and the dogs all at the same time, she opened up even more than she already had.

3. My story
I've been thinking about adopting a pet, but I still feel like I'm not quite ready. It seems like a big deal to take on that responsibility. From what I've heard, having a pet is always a significant commitment. They say it's important to be prepared for the time and attention they require, more than I might expect. It's like a new responsibility all the times. Yet, hearing other people's stories, it's possible that having a pet could open up new experiences for me, even more than I've already had. They say that being with a pet can help you open up even more than you already have.
